CRYO EM

If you are searching for succesful Cryo electron microscopy solutions, here we can help you

What is CRYO EM?

Cryo-electron microscopy (Cryo EM) is an image reconstruction method that serves to examine the structures of macromolecular complexes using cryogenically cooled samples, generally freezed at temperatures lower than -160°C.

In recent years, this single-particle technique complements crystallography in the study of large macromolecules at atomic resolution. But in contrast to X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy can be used to analyse the structure in their normal environment.
